Hey everyone! As you have probably deduced from the title this post, I'm starting a new workout routine! Wanna know what it is??? Well, you've probably seen infomercials about it. Seen it online. Or heard people talk about it. Its P90X!! Yes, the 90-day workout, guaranteed to get you ripped! So, I'm going to test this out! I'll still be in the gym doing my football power lifts, but they will be at a lighter weight while I am doing P90X. Hopefully, I'm going to see the results that I want from this program! I will keep you guys updated throughout this experience to let you know what I;m seeing and how I'm feeling! Keep it real folks! War Eagle!

sorry...Sorry...SORRY!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys,
Again... SORRY!!!!!! I know I didn't post for the month of February, but things were getting crazy and I couldn't take the time to post. But, I am now. So all is good =) When I last posted, I gave you guys where I stand concerning how much I can lift and my weight. After two months of training, I have increased my bench press to 150 and my squats are at 290 (I'm going to increase the weight in the next couple sessions). I also timed my 40 yard dash. The "unofficial" time was 5.05 seconds! I still haven't measured my vertical jump, but I hope to get that done by the next time I post. I hope everyone who is reading this is enjoying this (even though its just a bunch of numbers). I probably won't post until after April - unless something INSANE happens. Keep it real people! War Eagle!

New Year, New Start, New Plan

What is up people? I know it has been an eternity since I have touched this blog, but I felt it was time for a break. I didn't have the time to keep up with a blog with school and everything going on. But now I'm back with vengeance!!!! This blog is gonna have a new direction. I'm going to be going into serious training for the next few months in attempts to tryout as a walk-on for the Auburn University football team. My current weight is 217 pounds, the last time I was clocked on the 40-yard dash, I ran a 5.56 (this was a turf field, so that actually translates to a 5.35 on grass). I am currently doing squats at 280 pounds (I'm not sure of my max yet). My only hitch is my bench press. Right now I'm only benching 145 pounds, but that will definitely be going up in the near future! I plan to be hitting the weight room hard these next few months! I will update you guys at the end of each month on my progress! Thanks for reading! TTYL

P.S.
If for some reason I feel like I NEED to blog about something, I will put up an extra post. But I will do my best to stay consistent with my end-of-the-month posts.

New Update!

Hey everyone! Sorry I've been so lazy about putting up posts. So what's new? Well, the year!! Happy New Year everyone!! I hope everyone had a great 2008 (hey that rhymed!) and I hope your 2009 is even better! So, as usual, I like to talk about my Auburn Tigers. Well, our coach, Tommy Tubberville, after 10 years of great coaching, has one bad season and quits. He is still at Auburn helping with the recruiting, though. Our new coach used to be our defense coordinator. Gene Chizik. After Auburn, Gene head coached at Iowa State. Yes, Iowa State! His record there was 5-19 in two years. But, That's Iowa State. You can't win at Iowa State. We have also brought along the offensive coordinator from Tulsa, Gus Malzhan. This is a plus. This man has coached one of the best offenses in the country. But enough with my Auburn rant. Beyond sports, our basketball team has gotten off to a really slow start. We are currently 2-6, but we still have 10 games yet to play. So, we still have a chance to turn this into a winning season. The bible quizzing season is also nearing the end. We have one more quiz before the district finals in March. In the last quiz my team placed 6th out of 14, and we are looking for the top 5 in the next quiz. Our year high has been a 3rd place finish. Well, this has been a really long post! I will try to keep up with the updates as I go. Later!

Update!!

Hey everyody! Ok so it's been a long time since I last posted so I'll get you up to date with what's been going on. First, Auburn's football team is not so great this year. We are plagued with injuries and we can't seem to generate a strong offense. We were able to snap a 4-game losing streak by beating Tennessee-Martin for homecoming, but we couldn't seem to finish the game against Georgia. So now we are 5-6 and have one game left against our bigest rival, the Alabama Crimson Tide, who are undefeated. Second, I now have a sister!! My older brother, David, married his long time girlfriend, Lindsey, and they are now living happily together. The ceremony was beautiful and continued without a hitch, the bride and groom both looked amazing, and everybody seemed to have a great time. Well that's it for this update, I will check back in with you guys soon! Later!

Time, Discipline, and a quiet room.

Hey guys! Ok, I'm going to take a break from talking about Auburn's football season (even though I will probably post about this Thursday's game against WVU) and talk about another "sport." This "sport" is bible quizzing. Yes, I said bible quizzing. It's not like football, basketball, or any other sport for that matter, this is a sport that requires hours of study and memorization. Each year we are given a book/books of the Bible to study, and every month we spend a Saturday at a quiz competing with other teams from across the state. And, if your team is good enough, you might quiz with teams from your region, or teams from across the nation! But it is not easy, quizzing requires a lot of effort. If anything, quizzing requires time, discipline, and a quiet room. These things are important to the success of a quizzer. Time is required because how much material there is. Discipline, to focus on what you are studying. And a quiet room, just in case God has something to tell you. And one more thing, this is probably the most important, quizzing requires a desire to study God's Word. Without this, it is all pointless, we would just be reading the Word and not reaping the benefits from drawing close to God. Sure, you might win District finals, and maybe go on to regionals and nationals, but if you don't learn anything from it, where is the point? Well, that's all for this post. See you guys later!!

Football frustration!!

Hey everybody!!! So another Saturday went by and Auburn failed to come out on top... AGAIN!!!!!! This should have been a victory. It was Auburn against Vanderbilt in Nashville. Auburn started out strong by scoring two touchdowns in LESS than FIVE MINUTES!!!!!!!!!!! But on our second score we miss the PAT!!!! (How do you miss the PAT????????????) It just seems like after we put the starting quarterback out of the game we can't seem to stop their back-up. After that it was all down hill. Vandy came back and scored two touchdowns, making both of their PATs. And the score stayed 13-14 the rest of the game. I don't know what he'll do, but Coach Tuberville better start whipping his team into shape, other wise I might have to have a word with him. 'Nuff said.
